At the end of 1998 Apomatox
creates an activity which becomes Apole. Its objective
is to produce racing cars models by using, as much as
possible, the same materials that are used in the championship
racing cars. Apole has chosen an atypical scale in the
world of scale model cars : 1/6th.
The first model produced was the Prost Peugeot
AP01 and, because of its success, Apole has made all
the subsequent Prost Grand Prix Formula 1 racing cars :
Prost Peugeot AP02
Prost Peugeot AP03 Prost Acer AP04.
Apole also produced models of Formula 3000 cars which
ran in the 1999, 2000 and 2001 championships, for several
teams (Arden Team Russian, Red Bull Junior Team
etc),
and also some rally cars such as the Peugeot
206 WRC, which has won the 2000 Rallye Championship.
As a result of their experience, Apole have an important
savoir-faire and multiple connections, not only in the
car industry.
Each model is made by hand in our Magny-Cours
workshop, according to precisely defined specifications. |
